What is Tick Release?
Tick Release is a unique, non-poisonous aid in the removal of
attached ticks for both humans and animals.Who can
benefit from Tick Release?
Tick Release is especially helpful for active out-of-doors persons and
their pets such as campers, joggers, hikers, hunters, fishermen, ranchers
and farmers whose activities bring them in regular contact with tick
inhabited environments.. wooded and brushy areas, tall grass, pastures
and similar terrain. Also, certain parts of the country have a higher
incident of tick-borne illnesses such as Lyme Disease and Rocky
Mountain Spotted Fever. A related consideration is the density of
animal populations which are know to be seasonal or intermediate hosts
for ticks like deer and White Footed mice.
When is Tick
Release used?
Use Tick Release immediately
upon discovering an attached tick. Tick Release is for external
use only. Do not get into eyes, ear canals or nasal passages.
How do I use
Tick Release?
Place just one or two drops of Tick Release on the attached tick. Wait approximately one to two minutes, then gently remove the tick using tweezers. Studies have shown Tick Release aids in removing ticks safety by weakening the "cement" many ticks use to attach themselves to your skin. Tests indicate approximately one-third to one-fourth of attached ticks will back out by themselves.
Tick Release should reduce the frequency with which tick mouthparts break off and remain embedded in the skin. This
helps reduce the chances for irritation and secondary infection from scratching.
Why use Tick
Release?
Use of Tick Release should reduce the frequency with which mouthparts
break off and help to remove the "attachment cement"
generated by ticks. This should decrease healing time and reduce the
chances of irritation and secondary infections due to scratching.
